Creating Shipping and Insurance Items in Saasu

When integrating eCommerce systems with Saasu most often you need to create a Shipping Item and an Insurance Item. These Items are used to map sold Shipping and Insurance from your eCommerce system into your Item Sale in Saasu.

They are mandatory for most of the eCommerce integrations so it’s best to do this before you start the integrations.

  1. Sign in to your Saasu account

  2. Select Items > Items menu

  3. Select Add to add a new Item

  4. Select at least Sell (I sell this item) and select an Income Account and a Sales Tax Code.

    You might need to create an Income Account for your Shipping income by using the + (plus) button next to the Income Account dropdown.
    Alternatively you can also select Buy (I buy this item)
  5. Save the item
  6. Do the same for an Insurance Item if you provide Insurance for your eCommerce sales.
  7. Important: If you already connected Saasu to OneSaas then please trigger a manual synchronization process for your Saasu link by selecting Synchronize on the Dashboard.

    Once synchronization process with Saasu has finished configure your eCommerce connector and select the shipping item that you just created for Shipping Product.
  8. You can now configure your eCommerce connection to use this Item (Product) for the shipping costs:
